The Slovak Republic’s Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport provides full funding for the Slovak Scholarships for International Students. Duration of the Scholarship

The Republic of Slovakia’s National Scholarship Program 2025 is a short-term funding exchange program for students to do research at Slovakian higher education institutions.

  • The length of a scholarship stay for students is either one or two full semesters (four to five or nine to ten months) or, if the academic year is broken into trimesters, one or three trimesters (three to four or six to seven or nine to ten months).
  • For PhD students, the scholarship stay lasts between one and ten months.
  • Scholarship recipients (university professors, researchers, or artists) might remain anywhere from one to ten months.

  • Students attending universities outside of Slovakia.
  • Please take note that this Slovakia full scholarship for international students does not apply to full-time bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree programs.
