Romanian Government Scholarship in Romania – Fully Funded

The Romanian Government Scholarship 2025–2026 is open to applicants in Romania. This fellowship is provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applications for this scholarship are open to international students from non-EU nations. Bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees are eligible for this award. For the 2025–2026 academic year, Romania is offering fully funded scholarships to students from all around the world.

Required Documents:

The following documents must be included in the application file:

  • A formal letter issued by the Romanian diplomatic mission in the country of origin or residency, or by the diplomatic mission of the nation of origin assigned to Bucharest.
  • For a scholarship in Romania, the MFA application form (APPENDIX I) was properly completed.
  • A letter of acceptance to study in Romania is issued using the MER application form (APPENDIX 2).
  • copies of the achieved study credentials (baccalaureate degree or its equivalent plus bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, if any) that have been legally translated into English, French, or Romanian, if necessary.
  • legalized copies of graduate-level matriculation documents and diploma supplements, along with any applicable legalized translations.
  • A certified translation in English, French, or Romanian, along with a legalized copy of the birth certificate.
  • A duplicate of the passport’s first three pages.
  • The medical certificate attests to the participant’s lack of infectious diseases or other conditions that would interfere with the necessary studies.
  • The applicant’s curriculum vitae.
  • Two recent passport-format pictures.

The following documents will also be included in the application file (but only if the applicant fits the particular description of each document):

  • A copy plus a legally recognized translation serves as proof of name change, if applicable.
  • The copy and verified translation of the certificate confirming that this year’s graduates passed the baccalaureate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral exams, as applicable.
  • Romanian preparatory year graduation certificate or, if relevant, a language proficiency certificate.
  • In the case of juvenile candidates, a declaration regarding parental consent (in English, French, or Romanian) is required.

Eligibility Criteria
