Eligibility Criteria:

General Requirements:

  • Candidates must be in good health, have no criminal history, and be outstanding non-Chinese citizens.

Age Requirements:

  • Candidates for master’s degrees must be between the ages of 18 and 35 and hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  • Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 40 and hold a Master’s degree or its equivalent in order to be considered for a doctorate.

Language Proficiency:

  • Chinese-Taught Programs:
    • A minimum score of 260 in HSK4 is required for non-medical programs.
    • A minimum score of 200 in HSK4 is required for medical programs.
  • English-Taught Programs:
    • A minimum IELTS score of 6 or a TOEFL score of 85 is necessary.
    • Before their program begins, applicants who are unable to achieve the language requirement might have to complete a year-long Chinese language preparatory course and pass the necessary tests.
  • Exemption: Candidates who fulfill certain requirements might not need to demonstrate their language skills.

Postgraduate Requirements:

  • Candidates for postgraduate studies must possess both creative research skills and a solid academic foundation.

Documents Required:

  • A printed application form with the applicant’s name signed has been downloaded from the CSU China International Student Service System.
  • passport photocopy (available for more than a year)
  • A photocopy of the physical check for foreigners. Candidates must be rigorously examined in compliance with the Foreigners Physical Examination Sheet requirements. A form that is incomplete is considered invalid. This test will take place after October 1, 2024.
  • Highest graduation certificate photocopy (or notarized copy). The pre-graduation certificate from the school is necessary if the candidate is enrolled in classes at the moment.
  • The highest degree transcript (or notarized copies)
  • official stamp on a non-criminal record. It will be issued after October 1, 2024.
  • HSK4 transcripts for Chinese-taught programs, IELTS/TOEFL results for English-taught programs, or other records attesting to your language proficiency.
  • A photocopy of the application fee remittance bill (RMB 500 or USD 90).
  • A personal declaration stating that the student has no additional funding from other sources.
  • Two distinct recommendation letters from professors or associate professors with specific contact information (issued after October 1, 2024, only for master’s and doctoral degrees)
  • 800-word minimum study plan (only for master’s and doctoral degrees; explain your research history, methodology, substance, and significance, etc.)
