Choice No. 452/2024 has been issued by the Service of Labor in Oman, temporarily suspending the issuance of work grants for remote nationals in specific employment for a period of six months. This decision is predicated on Illustrious Declare No. 53/2023 and the Service of Labor’s regulations for commercial licenses, which are in accordance with Choice No. 180/2022. This decision terminates the issuance of commercial permits for the contracting of remote laborers in specific occupations.
The issuance of commercial licenses for the work of non-Omani laborers in private division education for the occupations recorded within the attachment of this choice will be suspended for six months, as per Article 1 of this choice. Nevertheless, Article 2 provides that work permits for remote nationals within the registered employments may still be issued, provided that the request is for the establishment or exchange of services within the Sultanate of Oman, despite the provisions of Article 1.
